ABOUT

What is e-Watch?

The Electronic Watch (e-Watch) is an online feedback portal developed by the Department of the Interior and Local Government to encourage and promote citizen participation in governance. It serves as one of the four components of the Local Governance Watch, a social accountability mechanism spearheaded by the Bureau of Local Government Supervision to set-in CSO-citizens’ active participation in planning, monitoring and evaluation of local government service delivery and program implementation as a means to make LGUs more responsive and efficient.

e-Watch caters to three kinds of feedback: inquiry, complaint, and commendation. These can revolve on the different public services offered by local government unit such as health, support to education, social welfare, governance and response, public works and infrastructure, environmental management, agricultural support, and tourism promotion.

Pilot Testing

At the moment we are pilot testing e-Watch to determine the feasibility of implementing it to a wider scale. Pilot LGUs were selected based on their readiness to implement e-governance projects and other similar initiatives.

e-Watch Pilot LGUs

Feedback addressed to non-pilot LGUs will still be entertained. However, since non-pilot LGUs do not have e-Watch accounts, the feedback will undergo the usual process being undertaken by the DILG Public Assistance and Complaint Center.

How to Submit Feedback Online

You are required to register and create your e-Watch account before giving your feedback. To protect your identity, only your username will be reflected on the website. It is your responsibility to ensure that there is no personally identifiable information in your chosen username unless you intend to include them. Other information such as name, address, and contact details will not be shown and will only be used to inform you about the status of your concern.

The Feedback Process

The feedback you submit to us will go directly to the system and will be reviewed by the DILG for proper response or endorsement to the concerned local government unit. Once you see your feedback posted on the website, it means that it has already reached the LGU where the feedback is addressed. You will be notified via e-mail and your e-Watch account when the LGU has responded to your feedback. You can make a comment or another feedback if you feel your concern has not been addressed and it will undergo the same process of feedback submission.

We value your feedback and we want to respond to it the best way we can. In giving feedback, we require you to register in our website. You are given the freedom to choose your username but we encourage you to provide us with the necessary contact details so we can inform you on the status of your concern.

The administrator only edits the format but not content of your feedback. This is the reason why you cannot immediately view your feedback after you have submitted it to us. We also review incoming feedback to filter posts (e.g. spam posts) that do not meet the objectives of this website.
